YouTube Playlist Randomizer ("this site") is a small tool that lets you shuffle the videos in a public YouTube playlist. This page explains what data the site accesses, collects, and stores.
When you enter a playlist ID, the site requests that playlist's public data (video titles and video IDs) from the YouTube Data API through a server-side function. Your YouTube API key, if any, never reaches your browser. We do not request access to your YouTube account, and we never ask for or store YouTube login credentials.
None of this data is sent to us or to any third party — it lives only in your own browser's storage and is never transmitted anywhere except back to YouTube's API to re-fetch playlist contents.
This site uses the YouTube IFrame Player API to embed video playback and the YouTube Data API to read public playlist metadata. Use of these services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. By using this site, you agree to be bound by both.
Since everything is stored locally in your browser, you can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, or by removing individual saved playlists using the delete button in the "Saved" menu.
